Mars in Capricorn; Sept. 27th – Nov. 8th, 2016 ♂

Via astrostyle.com

“Go-getter Mars blazes into success-obsessed Capricorn, activating worldwide ambition until November 8. The red planet has spent all of 2016 bouncing between simmering Scorpio and fiery Sagittarius, so its move into grounded, stabilizing Capricorn won’t come a minute too soon. The last time Mars visited this sign was from October 26 to December 4, 2014. Flip back two years in your calendar because you could build on an initiative that began back then. No coasting allowed between now and November 8. Fortune favors the bold—and the unstoppable. This week, don’t waste time worrying or checking out the competition, Mars in Capricorn advises. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and you’ll make it to the mountaintop before you know it.”

Venus in Scorpio; Sept. 23rd – Oct. 18th, 2016 ♀💕♏

“She cast her fragrance and her radiance over me. I ought never to have run away from her.” Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Venus, our planet of Love shimmers red with intensity as she slithers through mysterious Scorpio from September 23 to October 18th. Venus’ time in Scorpio takes us beyond the superficial to encounters of bare naked honesty. This is about the merger of bodies, minds and spirits.

While Venus in breezy Libra was all about making relationships peaceful and balanced, Venus in Scorpio seeks deeper and more honest interactions with others and issues of trust, intimacy, loyalty, and power could come to the surface.

“Cleopatra and Josephine Bonaparte relied on rose oil for its seductive properties. When you see and smell a rose it is hard not to think of pure love! In Indonesia they lay out ylang ylang flowers on the bed of a bride and groom to help get things going! Sandalwood is very relaxing and most helpful for getting into the mood for men and women. When it comes down to it though, anything that makes you feel sexy is going to be an aphrodisiac!” -Julie Wray, Olivine Atelier

Venus in Scorpio Celebs

☆Frank Ocean ☆ Demi Moore ☆ Denzel Washington ☆ Winona Ryder ☆ Lena Headey ☆ Nia Long ☆ Jodie Foster ☆ Anne Hathaway ☆ Nicole Richie ☆ Nelly Furtado ☆ Katie Holmes ☆ Milla Jovovich ☆ Leonardo DiCaprio ☆ Jim Morrison ☆ Joaquin Phoenix ☆

This Venus is a mesmerizer and loves playing with her sexual power. The game of seduction occurs subtly. Grand overtures and declarations are major turn-offs. Passion is silent. Eyes and body language speak volumes. Scorpios like things to simmer slowly and know that passion is usually intensified when it is restrained or suppressed.

Sun in Libra & Fall Equinox; Sept. 22nd, 2016 ❂♎

By Elizabeth Grace

“The big news today is the Sun leaving Virgo for Libra at 10:22AM ET. Happy birthday, Libra! Here’s what you need to know about the first day of any season  — i.e., equinoxes and solstices — from an astrological point of view.

The first days of Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter correspond with the first day (or first degree) of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, respectively (there are thirty degrees in each sign of the zodiac).

These four signs are called cardinal signs. Cardinal signs initiate. They come up with the idea and put it into action, which leads to necessary change. “Cardinal” suggests (from the Latin root of the word), “that on which something turns or depends.”  So the first day/degree of a Cardinal sign is a turning point.

In astrology, the technical term for the first degree of any Cardinal sign is the “Aries Point”, just to confuse people who are not professional astrologers. In other words, the first day of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn and Aries is the Aries Point. The first day of Taurus (and the rest of the signs) is NOT at the Aries Point).

Equinoxes and solstices are also prominent. We make a fuss over them, right? In Japan, the first day of each season is actually a national holiday. How cool is that? Thus, in a horoscope, a planet or angle at the Aries Point needs to be prominent.

Full Moon + Lunar Eclipse in Pisces; September 16th, 2016

By Aeterna

“As cosmic horror master H. P. Lovecraft put it, ‘the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown’. While there is nothing horrific per se about the upcoming Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse happening on Friday, September 16 (7:05 PM UTC), at 24°19 Pisces, it’s true that it will involve a confrontation with the unknown to some extent – the transcendental, fluid unknown of the Piscean realm.

An unknown that is as mysterious as slippery and elusive, a place where ends and beginnings meet, but also a shroud that conceals things we’d much rather avoid – out of fear. Fear of losing ourselves. Fear of giving up control. Every Full Moon marks an energetic peak, which shines a bright beam on whatever is coming full-circle in our Life, highlighting culminations, realizations, manifestations in the world of five senses; yet, with Pisces, we are not dealing with a sign that lends itself to rational assessments and binary logic. Pisces is subtle, holographic – the infamous “hall of mirror” effect.

A Pisces Full Moon can encompass a wide range of contradictory nuances – the dissolution of something that allows something else to materialize. Martyrdom which cracks your heart chakra wide open allowing compassion to spill like the nectar of a flower, or vice versa. Closure. Surrendering your way into the flow of life.

Jupiter in Libra; Sept. 9th, 2016 – Oct. 10th, 2017

By Molly Hall

“Jupiter’s time in Libra brings back high romance, with big over-the-top shows of love. Jupiter returns to Libra on September 9th and goes neatly through this cardinal sign to October 10th, 2017.  We can see a heightened emphases on love and making a big deal out of it.

Is your Jupiter in Libra?  Then it’s your “Luckiest Year,” a.k.a. the Jupiter Return.  I put that in quotes on purpose, because it’s not always the usual kind of luck, but is often subtle.

It’s also a boost for Air Signs (Libra, Gemini and Aquarius) and give a push to cardinal energies. This bodes well for prose and romantic poetry, as well as rom coms to make a come back.  This is a year to pair up, in love or business.

Past Jupiter in Libra Transits

  • The Peace Moratorium — In October of 1969, millions came to Washington to protest the Vietnam War, in the largest ever gathering of its kind.  There were also candle light vigils and protests across the country.
  • The Taylor-Burton Diamond (1969) — Richard Burton bought his love Elizabeth Taylor a 68-carat diamond, which was later on display at Cartier’s Jewelers in New York city.
  • Love Beads and Love-Ins — The hair style went long and straight at the end of the 1960s, a very Venusian, natural look.  Hand-made “love beads” were made into necklaces and worn.  Libra John Lennon staged his Bed-In for peace, and Make Love, Not War was the meme.
  • Prince Charles and Diana — (1981)  They were engaged in February, and married on July 23rd, in a royal wedding broadcast around the world.
  • The Facebook Launched (2004) — With the stated goal of expanding social networks, this synced with a Jupiter in Libra year, and everybody started collecting “friends.”
