D and I got some take-out from Pho Sho Vietnamese Restaurant (located on Sherbrooke street, near Marlowe). D chose a chicken Pho, and I wanted my usual beef Pho.
The broth for the Pho came in separate containers, as well as the bean sprouts, Thai basil, and lime wedges. D’s chicken Pho was topped with a cute little quail egg.
There’s nothing better than Pho on a cold winter’s day. The broth was so flavorful and comforting, I could easily eat this every day! We also got some fresh shrimp spring rolls to go with our soups.
These were ok, (I did side-eye the busted rice paper) but I much prefer the chicken rolls. I had to ask for no peanuts in the dipping sauce (I’m allergic) since it usually comes topped with chopped peanuts..lesson learned from the first time we ordered fresh spring rolls from there.
