 The Pisces Woman

Pisces is the twelfth and final sign of the zodiac. Ruled by Neptune, the Pisces woman is very intuitive and spiritual. The ocean-sized eyes of Pisces let you know this is no ordinary woman.

Your Pisces enchantress almost always has large and beautiful eyes which mirror her feelings openly. Pisces rules the subconscious mind, all non-verbal communication — symbols, gesture, dance, and art.

She’s ascended through the zodiac wheel from one lifetime after another and has accumulated all of the knowledge and experiences of being each Sun sign. She understands that she is a part of everything and that nothing in life is separate. It’s why she’s so empathetic and connected to her emotions and those of everyone around her. Pisces women often sense and feel things which other’s miss, sometimes making them seem more than a little psychic and mysterious.

An idealist at heart, it’s common for Pisceans to be attracted to fantasy in an attempt to escape from gritty reality and periodic disappointments of life. The Pisces woman is a natural artist, someone who sees meaning in the most mundane situations. The world can have a wearing-down effect on her self-confidence, which sometimes needs rebuilding in even the strongest Pisces women.

When Pisces is hurt, she will build her own version of the world to protect herself, preferring to live in a world of dreams until she feels she is ready for re-entry into reality. Realize this is not a weakness–she will always come back–and the worst thing you could say to this fragile beauty is “Get real!”

Even though it’s natural for her to feel so deeply, Pisces can contain only so much emotion before it overwhelms her. This can sometimes create a vicious cycle of lowered self-worth and increased need for approval, typically from the very person who is bad for her. One of her greatest life lessons is to learn to be a little selfish, in order to better choose who deserves her help and love.

Water does not like constraints, and similarly, Piscean women tend to favor loose, flowing, graceful silhouettes. This little mermaid is most in tune with her world when she is comfortable, wearing clothes that are silky and soft. A Pisces woman loves shimmer, like light on water, and will adorn herself with jewelry in unexpected places. Her special gemstone is Jade, and is particularly appropriate in jewelry for the hands and feet (rings, bracelets, toe rings, and so forth), as Pisces rules the feet. Because Pisces is somewhat of a chameleon, she is quite flexible when it comes to style and fashion. She dislikes constructs and stereotypes, and doesn’t like to be a slave to current trends. Luckily, she can usually get away with pretty much anything. She possesses an unusual quality in that she can blend in yet somehow remain unique.

The original romantic, this is a woman who needs a soul-mate more than most. It takes time to win the heart of the Pisces woman. At first, she is all mystery, evasive, and elusive. That is her protection from opening her sensitive heart too soon. Show her you know her and care for her with gifts or gestures that are unique to what’s been on her mind and heart. Pay attention to what fascinates her, and nourish that. This lets her know that you honor her journey, as one of being in two worlds (the natural and the supernatural), each as real as the other. There’s an infinite nature there to discover over time, so meeting her is the beginning of a fantastic voyage. A kind, sincere heart is a real draw, because then she can feel safe to consider you part of her refuge from a noisy, harsh world.

The desire to connect to something more through the sexual act is strong. This is especially true for those with Moon and/or Mars in Pisces. Like all other aspects of her life, sex is an emotional matter for a Piscean woman. Her natural sense of rhythm and grace in body movement makes her a fabulous lover. Her fantasies can be an ongoing inspiration. No other sign loves costume and fantasy as much as Pisces does, so when you get to know her well, suggest you both go shopping together for an outfit to wear in the bedroom–a French maid? Cleopatra? Mistress of the Dark? Her rich imagination needs fantasy. She is sensual and playful, prone to creating fanciful settings in the bedroom – enchanted forests, circles of candlelight, the scent of the sea – all these heighten her imagination. She is naturally on the submissive side, very willing to please, will try almost anything.

A Pisces woman in love expects magic and mystery, like the watery, wonderful world of the deep blue. She loves being in love – to her it is a wistful daydream, a flight of fancy. It is a seduction of her senses, and there is nowhere else she would rather be. In relationships, Pisces gives a lot, but not everything. Most important to remember is this; it’s a mistake to assume Pisces is weak, but it’s also a mistake to assume Pisces is strong. She is both. Avoid taking advantage of her good nature and willingness to make sacrifices. She sees her willingness to forgive and understand as a strength, and you should too. Romance and the Pisces woman is like a summer storm, going from the warmth of a welcome rain, through clashes of thunder and lightning, then to the calm tranquility of its passing. She gives everything when it comes to love. Her best partner is one who can inspire her, protect her and, when required, ground her fantasies.

The Pisces Man

What a gentle soul the Pisces man is. A dreamer and a mystic, he has a sleepy, almost ethereal presence about him. As the twelfth and last sign of the zodiac, Pisces contains within itself a little experience of all the signs. This gives him the ability to identify with people from all walks of life—from all backgrounds—in some way. These individuals are not only changeable and adaptable, they have open minds and tremendous understanding. This sentimental emphasis also means that he is highly intuitive and he is able to sense what others are thinking or feeling almost telepathically. Both adorable goldfish and predatory shark, a Piscean often displays a duality in his personality. Epitomizing his water element, he is fluid and easygoing, always swimming with the current and going with the flow. Like any current, this relaxed approach often belies a deeper underflow. The calm, collected facade of a Pisces man often hides his passionate and sensitive inner turmoil.

The illusory world of dreams, shadows, and secrets is as valid to the Piscean as the reality of this one, sometimes more so. This inner focus makes him mysterious and enigmatic to many people. The Pisces man is a daydreamer who can quickly escape the harsh realities of life by slipping into a world where he can be whatever he desires, wherever he wants. Some people think he runs from his problems while many believe that he simply finds a creative way to handle them.

Compassion that knows no bounds is found with this placement of the Sun. He is an empathetic gentleman who people often look to as a shoulder to lean on. He can often feel overwhelmed by the problems of others because he is so sensitive; it is his natural instinct to help. He is quick to help others and has a hard time saying no, even when he should. Sure, your Pisces friend will give freely of himself whenever he can, but if he feels he has been taken advantage of, he will retreat without warning. At that point, it is hard to win back his trust. He needs to be appreciated. One of Pisces greatest life lessons is to learn to be a little selfish, in order to better choose who deserves their help and love. In this way he can transform from a martyr to the strong, to a savior of the weak.

The Pisces man is difficult to pin down, since most of his true feelings are hidden. Shy and taciturn, the Fish often does not approach a lover directly, preferring instead to swim in circles, scoping out the situation before taking the bait and diving in. It’s often said that you’ll have to make the first move with a Pisces. He’s tuned in to waves, thoughts, physical moves, and he’ll be reading you, body and soul. Keep in mind, it can be as subtle as a glance or some well-timed innuendo. He may be wary of getting too close, knowing he “takes on” the psychic-soul material of others.

It can be maddening to carefully build a rapport with a complex and contradictory charm that surprises, baffles, seduces and irritates at the same time. He’ll need a lover who understands that he’s tuned in to everything, who understand he’s often pulled in many directions. When he’s confused, lost, disoriented, dazed, he wants to be with someone who won’t take advantage of his disillusions and emotional sensitivity. He’ll want you to share his dreams and imaginings with. He’s his best with someone that encourages him to find expression for all he holds within. Then, slowly, carefully, he will engage in love. Although there is plenty of fish in the sea, if you manage to hook a Pisces man, this is a catch that you probably won’t want to throw back.

The quiet and unassuming Pisces man is a flash flood of passion in the bedroom. He knows how to touch you and make you feel like your floating on a cloud. Your Pisces guy loves to cater to your needs and will think up delicious surprises and treats for his lover. Eroticism is a part of his personality and therefore fantasies and love making is a way for him to express himself fully. He’s bonded spiritually to his partner and every time he makes love the bond gets stronger. He loves fantasy and role playing. Games in between the sheets are his specialty and he’s a creative, generous lover, as well as sensual, surprising, and seductive. His intuition and eagerness to please mean that the Fish has a Casanova-like skill to give liquid, intense sexual satisfaction.

Love is pandemonium and heaven to the Fish. He is like a time-release romantic as he becomes more sentimental and tender the longer you’re together. It’s a trust thing. Make it safer and safer for him to be himself around you—he fears your judgment and craves your admiration more than anyone else’. The phase of “mature love” is so much more romantic and rich with Pisces than infatuation. He does everything backwards, but that’s precisely what’s so wonderful about him. If divine timing is on your side, you could be lucky enough to experience it.
