New Moon in Scorpio; Nov. 18, 2017 ♏

New Moon occurs on Saturday, November 18th, 2017, at 6:42 AM ET in the mysterious realm of Scorpio. This energetic doorway invites us to probe into our innermost universe; to rummage around, find the secrets, the lies, and soul-centered desires.

“The fear of the unknown is what keeps most people stuck in a cycle. Instead of giving yourself a sunny pep talk, embrace what’s coming up. Explore your worries and shine a light on those monsters under the bed. By acknowledging what’s buried you can embark on a journey that’s not just successful, but also amazingly nourishing to your soul.” -Astrotwins

This phase of the Moon occurs at 26 degrees and 19 minutes of Scorpio. If your birthday falls within five days of this New Moon in Scorpio this is a powerful opportunity for transformation. The same is true if you have personal planets or points at 22 – 30 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.

Autumn Reverie🍂

By Elizabeth Wesley

Melancholy skies, holding back the tears
With wild geese flying to meet other years
Flames of crimson torches come flinging
Leaves on gnarled branches swinging
Desolate winds rush leaping
Taking flowers to their final sleeping...

Venus in Scorpio; Nov. 7th – Dec. 1st, 2017 ♀💕♏

Venus, our planet of Love, slithers through mysterious Scorpio from November 7th to December 1st, 2017. While Venus in Libra was all about making relationships peaceful and balanced without ruffling any feathers — Venus in Scorpio takes us beyond the superficial to encounters of bare naked honesty…

“I would like to be the air that inhabits you for a moment only. I would like to be that unnoticed and that necessary.” ― Margaret Atwood

This Venus wants love seductively, privately, deeply, completely, but her game of seduction occurs subtly. Scorpios like things to simmer slowly and know that passion is usually intensified when it is restrained or suppressed. Grand overtures and declarations are major turn-offs. Passion is silent but eyes and body language speak volumes.

Relationships, romantic ones especially, will feel the heat in more ways than one…Venus here can be extremely suspicious of others, almost expecting betrayal and lies. Yup, paranoid.

This intense Water Sign is capable of hating with the same level of passion as they once loved if you’ve crossed their invisible line. The scorpion sting is no fable. Jealousy, power plays, hidden agendas and possessiveness can also be the shadow side to this Venus atmosphere.

A Song of Despair

by Pablo Neruda

The memory of you emerges from the night around me
The river mingles its stubborn lament with the sea

Deserted like the wharves at dawn
It is the hour of departure, oh deserted one

Cold flower heads are raining over my heart
Oh pit of debris, fierce cave of the shipwrecked

In you the wars and the fights accumulated
From you the wings of the song birds rose

You swallowed everything, like distance
Like the sea, like time. In you everything sank

It was the happy hour of assault and the kiss
The hour of the spell that blazed like a lighthouse…

Venus in Libra; Oct. 14 – Nov. 7, 2017 ♀💚♎

“Romance is the glamour which turns the dust of everyday life into a golden haze.” ― Elynor Glynn

Love is in the air as Venus moves into lovely Libra for a three-week stay! Air Sign Libra seeks love and beauty in all its forms —music, art, fashion, fresh flowers, jewels…but also kindness, integrity and compassion.

Every planet has its comfort zone and Libra’s wonderful combination of the sensualist and the intellectual allows the very best of Venusian energy to shine through.

Whether single or dating, Venus in witty Libra will color our love lives and interpersonal relationships with charm, flexibility and eloquence, but it isn’t necessarily the most reliable…

Relationships are of paramount importance to Libra, but it’s more about the idea of being in coupled-up bliss. Much like the scales they represent, they’re always going back and forth wondering, “Could I do better? Is this as good as it gets?!

“Imbalanced relationships will stick out like a sore thumb during this transit. Does one of you have stronger feelings than the other? Is one of you putting more work into the partnership than the other? If so, it’ll become very noticeable while Venus is in Libra. Thankfully, this transit also blesses us with the cooperation and grace to work together to make positive changes and start anew.” -Maria Desimone

To personalize this energy, identify which house is ruled by Libra in your birth chart. Where is your Venus placed? What’s your vision of love?

Let’s use this loving Venus in Libra energy to pamper ourselves and make others feel extra special…not just in obvious ways, but all the little thoughtful ways that make life a bit sweeter. xx

Jupiter in Scorpio; Oct. 10, 2017 – Nov. 8, 2018

“At night, when the objective world has slunk back into its cavern and left dreamers to their own, there come inspirations and capabilities impossible at any less magical and quiet hour.” ― H.P. Lovecraft

Starting today, benevolent Jupiter takes up residence in magnetic Scorpio until November 8th, 2018. After a thirteen-month transit of Libra, Jupiter’s lucky, larger-than-life presence will be working powerfully on the themes associated with the eighth sign of the Zodiac.

New Moon in Virgo; Sept. 20th, 2017 ♍

Summer ends with a New Moon in the sign of the earth goddess. New Moons are about release and renewal and under Virgo’s Moonbeams the focus is on creating order, efficiency and wellness.

With the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars all in meticulous Virgo, emotional satisfaction comes from a job well done — but remember, Virgo can easily become hyper-critical and agonize over smallest detail. Striving for perfection can be great as long as we don’t allow ourselves to become overly focused on flaws and feel guilt/shame over them.

“The Virgo part of you wants to be right. Self criticism kills creativity and expansion. You are a powerful creator. Don’t focus on lack or what is not working. Focus on what you have accomplished. Try new things. Make mistakes. Make many mistakes. You have to break eggs to make an omelet. Be positive. Think big. Be brave. Try. Push the Launch Button.” -Kelley Rosano

If your birthday falls within four days of September 19th, you will benefit the most from this New Moon in Virgo. The same is true if you have a natal planet or point around 27 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

It’s important to be internally clear and meaningful about what you want now. Send your requests out in a wish or a prayer. Focus on where you’re going and make peace with the past.

The actions you take, and the goals you achieve will have the power to stay with you for a full year, until next year’s New Moon in Virgo returns with fresh energy. xx
