Sun in Aries + Spring Equinox; March 20, 2017 🍃♈

Welcome back, Persephone!

The Sun blazes into fiery Aries on March 20th, marking the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of a brand new Astrological year!

Today, Light and Dark exist in sacred balance. After this point, the days will get longer and the nights will get shorter until the Summer Solstice on June 21st, when the pattern will reverse.

“And so the spring buds burst, and so I gaze,
And so the blossoms fall, and so my days …”
― Onitsura

As we shift out of the soft, ethereal energy of Pisces, and into the fearless, action realm of Aries, we’re likely to be seeking out things that are new, fun and different.

We now have an excess of Fire energy. At this time, we can become more impulsive, direct and uncomplicated in our needs, but the tendency to be a bit of an asshole short-sighted and selfish is highly possible.

As the first sign of the Zodiac, Aries’ main concern is for number one…it’s all about me, myself and I –“Let’s talk about me!” “Remember me?” “Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you about me!”

More Aries Particulars

  • Element is Fire (inspired and instinctual).
  • Quality is Cardinal (instigating).
  • Aries is Masculine (outgoing, penetrating).
  • Ruler is Mars.
  • Phrase is “I am.”
  • Birthstone is diamond, created from intense heat and pressure.
  • Body Association: Face, eyes, and head.
  • Season is Spring.
  • Colors are the red shades; scarlet, fire-engine, ruby.
  • Rules metallic Iron.

It’s time to shake off the same ol’ dull routines and consider the many fresh possibilities before us with the renewed energy of Spring and the bold, bright Aries Sun! Just wait until the New Moon on March 27th to launch!

Happy Astrological New Year, AND, Happy Solar Return, Aries! ♥

Full Moon Eclipse in Leo; Feb. 10, 2017 @7:34 PM EST❂♌

It’s showtime, as 2017’s first Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs in majestic Leo, the sign of the artist, player and lover. The Moon’s magical beams are about culminations, revelations and manifestations. This is a cosmic kick to push us off the cliff, and into action towards our chosen path.

This eclipse is the first in a two-year series to hit the Leo-Aquarius axis; the Personal vs. the Universal. Sun King Leo is about finding the source of that which makes us special…one-of-a-kind. This lunation asks, How will the uniqueness that is You make a difference in the world?

“You’re correct in believing that you shouldn’t let anyone dim your candle just because they’re uncomfortable with your brightness, but self-confidence can quickly turn to arrogance if you disregard the feelings of those closest to you.” -Rick Levine

Venus in Aries + Venus Retrograde ❤♀♈

It’s going to be an interesting ride as Venus, our planet of love and beauty, moves into daredevil Aries on February 3, 2017 for an interrupted, but longer-than-usual stay. For lovers, old and new, this is great news as Venus in Aries seeks to light our divine spark by revving up the lust factor through steamy flirtations and hot pursuits…

Venus in Aries is known as the reckless restless romantic, so flames tend to fizzle out as fast as they sizzle, especially if there isn’t a level of intensity and mystery involved. Competition and power struggles could also erupt under these explosive skies. Aries has a “me, me, me” vibe that can never really get enough attention.

New Moon in Sagittarius; Nov. 29th, 2016 ❂♐

An inspirational New Moon occurs tomorrow at 7:18 AM EST in the sign of Sagittarius, the Archer. Sagittarius is restless for inspiration, friendship and love and this fiery energy attracts us to ideas and people that put things into an inspired frame of mind.

We’re being given Sag’s courage to release burdens, habits, and negative thought patterns that have passed their expiry date. We currently have Five planets in Fire signs instigating the passion and enthusiasm needed to shoot those arrows and hit the bulls-eye.

Given the emphasis on the Lunar Nodes at the time of the New Moon, any new beginning or paths will be at the price of leaving the seductive, (sometimes idealized) past behind for good.

Neptune, who’s currently in Pisces will be in tight square to this New Moon, an aspect of difficulty. Neptune’s ‘smoke and mirrors’ vibes can obscure truths with delusions, so our job will be to get to the bottom of things.

Venus in Sagittarius; Oct. 18 – Nov. 11, 2016 ♐

Coming out of the cleansing waters of Scorpio, loving Venus moves into the idealistic fire sign of Sagittarius, adding fuel to Cupid’s fire and ensuring passion and excitement!

Venus in Scorpio vibes were pretty intense and may have exposed buried greed, envy and jealousy. Now, in the sign of the Archer, Venus is uplifted! Romantic energy shifts from dark and probing to light and breezy.

Often seen as the unobtainable fantasy, Venus in Sagittarius is an eternal seeker. Personal freedom is paramount. Soul-level declarations of undying love is lost in this Venusian atmosphere, as well as heavy, over-analyzed relationship issues or emotional drama. Care-free, wild, uncomplicated types is what attracts this Venus.

Although attraction happens very easily under this Venusian climate, this brings forth a feeling of restlessness. Something (or someone) fascinating, exotic, or new is just around the corner, waiting to be explored. As fast as the flame is lit, it can burn out just as quickly.

“His hands are saying that he wants to hold her. His feet are saying that he wants to chase after her… He’s probably forgotten that I’m here, beside him.” – Ai Yazawa

Full Moon in Aries; Oct. 16th, 2016, @12:33 AM EDT ♈

Via Astrostyle:

“On Sunday, the annual Full moon in Aries will rock the skies. This one lands at a superclose degree to iconoclastic Uranus, furthering the weekend’s liberated vibes. This forthright cosmic energy will make us all expressive, passionate and quick on the draw. Just go easy on the “my way or the highway” bluster. Power struggles can easily erupt under these explosive skies. Instead of fighting for domination, divert your attention into your own dreams. Dive into a passion project, or debut the one you’ve been working on since the corresponding new moon this past April 7.

“Know Thyself” is this Full Moon’s commandment. Say “yes” to what you want and “no” to what you don’t—clarity will be easy to come by as the week wraps. The Aries Full Moon basically turns the world into a giant talent show. Got something fabulous to promote? Save the humblebrags and go big and bold. Competition could get fierce though, as Aries has an “all about me” vibe that can never quite get enough attention. Make room on stage for others to shine instead of fighting for headliner status!”
