Venus in Pisces; Feb. 10 – Mar. 6 2018 💙♀♓

“Mesmerised by an ocean dream,
Eternal life, alone and free.
Rolling waves, sea pure and clear,
Maybe I’ve found shelter from the storm.”
Alice Morris, A Mermaid’s Dream

An escape into beauty and fantasy arrives today, as Venus enters the mystical realm of Pisces. Our approach to love is impacted by whatever sign Venus happens to be in, and romance doesn’t get much more enchanting than when Venus is in the sensitive Water sign of Pisces.

“The mood of love is one of wanting to be fully absorbed in the moment — its sounds, the space between words, a look or smile that speaks volumes. Venus in Pisces is for the cozy corner table with candlelight, or going away to a place where nobody knows you…” -Molly Hall

Empathy, tolerance and understanding are among the highest expressions of Piscean/Neptunian energy. The most sublime creative potential is available to us during the next four weeks. The ecstasy of self-expression through poetry, photography, or other form of art is enhanced.

Venus in Aquarius; Jan. 17 – Feb. 10th, 2018 💜☮♒

Venus, the planet of love and pleasure prances into the free-spirited sign of Aquarius  for a cozy stay until February 10th. Since Christmas day, Venus has been in cautious Capricorn, infusing a serious vibe to our relationships. We now move towards independence, freedom and unconventionality.

This renegade Venus makes unlikely connections fun, without a lot of pressure. Lines between friendship and intimacy become blurred. Crushes and electric attractions happen easily — but love and devotion in this aloof and detached sign can be a bit more tricky and may even feel a bit claustrophobic around clingy or overly emotional types.

Venus in Capricorn; Dec. 25, 2017 – Jan. 17, 2018 ❥♑

Venus, our planet of love, pleasure and beauty, moves into conservative Capricorn today. Love is serious business for Venus in any of the Earth signs. Security, stability, longevity and the commitment to the labor of love is highlighted now.

Our Love Goddess here is quite image-conscious, too. Desires are material and tangible. Relationships need a shared purpose. Personal power, status, VIPs and “looks good on paper” types are attractive. Big time. Friends with benefits are also associated with this archetype, as well as May-December romances.

Venus in Sagittarius; Dec. 1st – Dec. 25, 2017 ♐

Coming out of the cleansing waters of Scorpio, loving Venus moves into the exciting fire sign of SagittariusVenus in Scorpio vibes were pretty intense and may have exposed buried greed, envy and jealousy. Now, in the sign of the Archer, Venus is uplifted! Romantic energy shifts from dark and probing to light-hearted and fun..

Often seen as the unobtainable fantasy, Venus in Sagittarius is an eternal seeker. Personal freedom is paramount. Soul-level declarations of undying love as well as heavy, over-analyzed relationship issues or emotional drama is lost in this Venusian atmosphere.

Autumn Reverie🍂

By Elizabeth Wesley

Melancholy skies, holding back the tears
With wild geese flying to meet other years
Flames of crimson torches come flinging
Leaves on gnarled branches swinging
Desolate winds rush leaping
Taking flowers to their final sleeping...

Venus in Scorpio; Nov. 7th – Dec. 1st, 2017 ♀💕♏

Venus, our planet of Love, slithers through mysterious Scorpio from November 7th to December 1st, 2017. While Venus in Libra was all about making relationships peaceful and balanced without ruffling any feathers — Venus in Scorpio takes us beyond the superficial to encounters of bare naked honesty…

“I would like to be the air that inhabits you for a moment only. I would like to be that unnoticed and that necessary.” ― Margaret Atwood

This Venus wants love seductively, privately, deeply, completely, but her game of seduction occurs subtly. Scorpios like things to simmer slowly and know that passion is usually intensified when it is restrained or suppressed. Grand overtures and declarations are major turn-offs. Passion is silent but eyes and body language speak volumes.

Relationships, romantic ones especially, will feel the heat in more ways than one…Venus here can be extremely suspicious of others, almost expecting betrayal and lies. Yup, paranoid.

This intense Water Sign is capable of hating with the same level of passion as they once loved if you’ve crossed their invisible line. The scorpion sting is no fable. Jealousy, power plays, hidden agendas and possessiveness can also be the shadow side to this Venus atmosphere.

A Song of Despair

by Pablo Neruda

The memory of you emerges from the night around me
The river mingles its stubborn lament with the sea

Deserted like the wharves at dawn
It is the hour of departure, oh deserted one

Cold flower heads are raining over my heart
Oh pit of debris, fierce cave of the shipwrecked

In you the wars and the fights accumulated
From you the wings of the song birds rose

You swallowed everything, like distance
Like the sea, like time. In you everything sank

It was the happy hour of assault and the kiss
The hour of the spell that blazed like a lighthouse…
