New Moon in Pisces; Mar. 17, 2018 ♓

“I dream my painting and I paint my dream.” ― Vincent van Gogh

A new chapter begins on Saturday, March 17th, 2018, at 9:11 AM EDT as a New Moon occurs in the mystical twelfth sign of the Zodiac. Pisces’ watery landscape offers us a gateway to the higher realms of human consciousness. The illusory world of dreams, shadows and secrets is as valid to the Piscean as the reality of this one, sometimes even more so.

“If you tend toward the extremely sensitive side of the spectrum anyway, you’ll want to watch your boundaries to guard against the ‘energetic sponge’ phenomenon, should you encounter negative people or toxic behavior.” – Amanda Painter

Venus & Mercury enter Aries; March 6th, 2018 ❤♀☿♈

“I will never forget your fire. I can’t wait to see what you do.”
Kiera Cass, Happily Ever After

Today, Venus and Mercury blaze into the realm of daredevil Aries and out of the dreamy purple haze of Pisces. Driven by the straight-shooting, fiery vibes of Mars, passion comes through loud and clear as the planet of logic and the planet of love transits bold and exciting Aries.

Desires are expressed spontaneously, enthusiastically, and directly. For lovebirds, old and new, this is great news as Agent Provocateur Aries can light our divine spark through sweet crushes and hot pursuits.

“Clever banter, inspired bursts of brilliance, shameless come-ons—yep, our exchanges will be charged with the Ram’s spirited dynamism. Friendships and flirtations can heat up quickly over the next few weeks.” -Astrotwins

Aries has a reputation as the reckless restless romantic, so flames tend to fizzle out as fast as they sizzle — especially if there isn’t a level of intensity and mystery involved.

When faced with opposition, these fired up planets can instigate hasty actions and provocative remarks.

Full Moon in Virgo; March 1, 2018 ❂♍

Tonight, at 7:51 PM ET, the luminaries peak in Earth Sign, Virgo. This Virgo Full Moon takes in the mystical light of the Pisces Sun, bringing to culmination that which began during the previous Pisces New Moon.

“March 2018 begins with plenty of higher illumination. Put away the petty and superficial playthings of the material realm while exploring the profundity present in philosophical studies about the deeper meaning of life on this fragile planet. Send out your healing thoughts and prayers to humanity and kingdoms of nature around the moment of the Full Moon. Lift people up with cheer rather than pulling them down with criticism.”  -Mark Lerner

“I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.” -Agent Dale Cooper

I can’t express my excitement for Sunday’s premiere of Twin Peaks! First American Gods (one of my favorite books by Neil Gaiman premiered earlier this month), now this! Such an amazing time for television!

Via The Hollywood Reporter;

“David Lynch is making it happen again. The singular filmmaker once again firewalks among the Douglas firs in Showtime’s upcoming Twin Peaks revival, debuting Sunday. The series, co-written by Lynch and Peaks co-creator Mark Frost, comes in the form of an 18-part movie disguised as a television series, with each installment directed by Lynch himself.

Another way the revival is “just a little bit different” than most other high-profile television experiments: we know almost nothing about it, at least on a story level. At Lynch’s request, plot details about the new Twin Peaks are under strictest lock and key, so much so that crewmembers won’t be permitted to speak on the record about the revival until it finishes airing at the end of the summer. “

Arabella

“…She’s got a Barbarella silver swimsuit
And when she needs to shelter from reality she takes a dip in my daydreams
My days end best when this sunset gets itself
Behind that little lady sitting on the passenger side
It’s much less picturesque without her catching the light
The horizon tries but it’s just not as kind on the eyes

Sun in Cancer + Summer Solstice; June 20th, 2016 ☀♋

“This is the time of the rose, blossom and thorn, fragrance and blood. Now on this longest day, light triumphs, and yet begins the decline into the dark. The Sun King embraces the Queen of Summer..” Starhawk, The Spiral Dance

The Summer Solstice ushers in the high point of light of this solar year on June 2o, at 6:34 pm ET. The Midsummer beams are at their brightest today, the longest day of the year, and like a sunflower, the Northern Hemisphere has its face toward the life-giving Sun.

Summer Solstice is a day for recognizing and honoring the Sun for its energy gifts of bringing light and warmth to our planet. 2016 is a special year, because the solstice coincides with a Full Moon, a time when solar light is radiant and the feminine energies are in abundance.

Fresh Fruit

The summer solstice also coincides with the Sun‘s ingress into Cancer, and the official start of the Summer season; the time of Sun play, ripening of fruit, and honey. Herbs gathered at this time (such as baked elder flower blossoms) were believed to be able to heal and bring health.

Fire and Water are celebrated at the summer solstice, along with the Earth as Mother Goddess, at her most fruitful. Many couples still marry in June, at the peak of nature’s abundance. Some traditions offer newlyweds honey-laced foods for the entire first month of marriage. Not surprisingly, the June full Moon is the Honey Moon.

“Whether it’s an equinox or solstice, we’re celebrating the start of something new. Each season has a specific and essential job that we rely on for our very existence. The equinox and solstice points are sacred markers in time that help us connect the dots to the mystery behind the Earth’s never ending circle of life.” – Maria DeSimone

While the Sun transits gentle and sentimental Cancer from June 21 – July 22, we enter the Realm of Feeling, and are being nudged to get in touch with our emotions. Under the security-conscious Cancer vibe, we rely more on emotions than logic, our actions and attitudes are colored by caution, intuition, and instinct.

Cancer is the sign of the nurturer, they will find a way to nurture something, whether it’s pets, plants, or children. They crave a sense of belonging; they need to feel needed. You just know you’re in good hands with a Cancer friend/parent/love.

We’re more susceptible to the ups and downs of the Moon now. Cancers have a moody, changeable nature, which make them an enigma, even to those closest to them. Like Cancer‘s ruler, the Moon, they are similarly known to glow fully and brightly one moment, and hide their faces the next.
